Thursday, the Southern States Athletic Conference listed two members of the XULA volleyball team as players to watch in 2026. 

Kennedy Campbell, a junior middle blocker and right side from Atlanta, was joined by Luana Brambilla, an outside hitter and recent transfer from Miami Dade. 

Campbell enters 2026 on the heels of earning first-team AVCA South Central Region and All-Conference in the Red River Athletic Conference. A year ago, she recorded 279 kills and had a .273 hitting percentage. 

Brambilla, a native of Brazil, was part of Miami Dade's 2025 NJCAA Division I national championship team. Last season, she appeared in 20 matches and notched 100 digs and 40 kills. 

Xavier begins its season Aug. 28 in Nebraska with a pair of games in the Bellevue Bruin Classic. The Gold Nuggets will open home play Sept. 4 with a 2 p.m. match against Louisiana Christian.
