The men's version of Battle for New Orleans, hosted by LSUNO Friday, featured four Gold Rush runners. 

In a meet that featured numerous NCAA Division I teams from Louisiana and beyond, the quarter of XULA men showed they were not intimidated. 

Benjamin Ford, a sophomore from Glen Allen, Virginia, cracked the too 40 with a 16:37.4 run, which was good enough for 32nd. 

Ivory Montgomery ran an 18.28.3, Ra'Shad Cure a 19:22.2, and Kasen Robinson a 20:32.9.

Friday was the season debut for XULA Cross Country, which will get a few weeks to prepare for its next challenge, a Sept. 24 run in Loyola New Orleans' Wolfpack Invitational in Parc Des Familles in Marrero.
