ROME, Ga. — Xavier University of Louisiana's third-seeded Santiago Perez had sufficient chances to pull off the upset, but Georgia Gwinnett's top-seeded Jose Dugo rallied for a 6-1, 3-6, 7-6 (7-1) victory Saturday in the men's NAIA semifinals of the ITA Cup tennis championships.
     Perez led 4-1 in the third set before a rain delay and 5-3 after the rain stopped.
     The loss was just the fifth in 32 XULA singles matches for Perez, a sophomore.
