"Today was a good bounce back day for us," XULA coach
Alan Green said. "We played some good doubles and we had
some dominant performances from the bottom half of the singles lineup.
Texarkana is an under-ranked team in my opinion. Those guys are good."
The Eagles (3-3), a sixth-year program, were among "others receiving votes"
and in 27th place in the most recent NAIA coaches poll Feb. 26.
The next ranking will be announced Tuesday.
It was the first-ever meeting between the Gold Rush and the Eagles.
