NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana volleyball is offering team tryouts and seeking two new staff members for the 2022 season.
XULA will conduct tryouts Feb. 26 from 10 a.m.-noon at the Convocation Center (7900 Stroelitz St., zip 70125). The event is open to current XULA students, high school athletes graduating this year and to athletes at two-year colleges.
Staff openings are for student manager and social media coordinator, and all applicants must provide a resume. For the social media position, experience with photo editing and video production is preferred.
Resumes must be emailed to assistant coach Phil Evans at pevans3@xula.edu.
Each of the past 11 seasons, XULA won conference regular-season and tournament championships and qualified automatically for NAIA nationals. The Gold Nuggets in 2021 were among "others receiving votes" in the NAIA postseason coaches poll.
