SHREVEPORT, La. — A five-run first inning and a seven-run sixth propelled NAIA No. 10 LSU-Shreveport to a 13-2 victory Friday against Xavier University of Louisiana in the opener of a three-game Red River Athletic Conference baseball series.
The game was halted after 6 1/2 innings because of the 10-run rule.
The Gold Rush (6-8 overall, 3-4 RRAC) and the Pilots (17-2, 6-1) will play a doubleheader Saturday starting at noon.
