LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — Xavier University of Louisiana
lost 5-0 Saturday to Georgia Gwinnett in a matchup of ranked NAIA men's tennis teams at the Grizzly Invitational.
The Grizzlies (7-1), ranked second and winner of the last eight NAIA national
championships, ended the four-match win streak of the Gold Rush (4-2). XULA is ranked fifth.
Georgia Gwinnett clinched on the fourth singles court when Leonardo Sprovieri defeated
Julius Hell 6-0, 6-2.
The final Gold Rush match of this event
will start at 10 a.m. EST Sunday against NAIA No. 8 Lindsey Wilson.
