Gold Rush earn 28th consecutive home victory

         NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana men's tennis stretched its home winning streak to 28 with a 7-0 victory Tuesday against Millsaps.
         The Gold Rush, 12-5 and ranked eighth in the NAIA, have not lost at XULA Tennis Center since April 2018.
         Jacobi Bain, Nereo Suarez, Julius Hell, Jered Wilson, Guillermo Coiras and Dedric Ray won in doubles and singles. Bain and Suarez clinched the doubles point with their 6-1 victory against Carson Chassaignac and Jakub Bobinski. Ray clinched the dual when he won 6-1, 6-1 against Kells Hecht on the sixth singles court.
         At home the XULA men have won 49 of their last 52.
         Millsaps, an NCAA Division III member, is 2-6.
         XULA will travel to Pensacola, Fla., to play two top-50 opponents from NCAA Division II: Southern Arkansas at 10 a.m. CDT Friday and West Florida at 10 a.m. Saturday.
