        MOBILE, Ala. — Xavier University of Louisiana's round-of-16 men's tennis match against Middle Georgia at NAIA nationals was suspended Wednesday because of rain.
        The Gold Rush and Knights will resume competition at 8 a.m. CDT Thursday at Copeland-Cox Mobile Tennis Center (851 Gaillard Drive, zip code 36608, phone 251-208-5181). Admission is free for every round.
        The match was halted during doubles. Play will resume with XULA's Julius Hell and Mathieu Strauss leading 4-3 against Gianfranco Germinara and Mariano Jalif.
        XULA, ranked seventh in the coaches poll and seeded seventh in the tournament, seeks to advance to the quarterfinals for the 10th time in its last 11 attempts.
