2024 NAIA women's soccer All-Americans
NEW ORLEANS —
Xavier University of Louisiana's
Luci Schroeder is NAIA All-America
third team in women's soccer for the second consecutive season.
The NAIA announced Monday its 2024 All-Americans.
Schroeder is the Red River Athletic Conference's first two-time All-American in this sport.
This is the RRAC's 27th season.
Schroeder — a senior midfielder
from Samtens, Germany, and a graduate of Landesgymnasium fuer Sport Leipzig and two-year Monroe (N.Y.) College
— produced 14 goals, 17 assists and two winning goals in 21 games
for a second-year XULA team that won the RRAC Tournament
and an automatic bid to NAIA nationals. The Gold Nuggets defeated
Mid-America Christian 1-0 in the first round of nationals — Schroeder scored that goal in the 47th minute — before being eliminated
3-0 by second-seeded William Carey in round two.
Schroeder tied for eighth in the NAIA
in assists and tied for 22nd in points. She led the RRAC in assists and points
and tied for fifth in goals. For statistical rankings, two points are awarded
for each goal and one point for each assist.
XULA was 14-6-2 overall and 10-2-1 (third place) in the RRAC.
The Gold Nuggets are 27-12-2 (.683) overall and 21-4-1 (.827) in the RRAC in their two varsity seasons.
Both seasons the Gold Nuggets earned automatic bids to NAIA nationals and won in the firat round.
