NAIA No. 8 Xavier University of Louisiana ended two streaks and extended another
Friday morning in a 7-0 men's tennis victory against Lewis-Clark State.
The Gold Rush (3-5) snapped
a three-match losing streak and increased their win streak at XULA Tennis Center
to 34 dual matches. The home streak began in 2018.
Winning in doubles and singles
for XULA were
Jacobi Bain,
Julius Hell,
Nereo Suarez and
Ivan Vazquez.
Vazquez and Hell clinched the doubles point with a 6-1 victory on court three
against Alvaro Camino and Daniel Tevez.
Artur Yakubov clinched the dual
with his 6-1, 6-3 victory against Nell Rollin on court five.
XULA ended the five-match win streak
of the Warriors (5-3).
The Gold Rush will play host to city rival
Loyola at noon Sunday.
