  Xavier University of Louisiana climbed above .500 and extended its home win streak  
	 in a 6-1 men's tennis victory Wednesday against SCAD Atlanta.
	
	        The XULA men (8-7) have more wins than
	 losses for the first time in nearly seven weeks. Their win streak at XULA
	  Tennis Center — it started April 18, 2018 — is 39 dual matches.
		The Gold Rush are 7-0 at home this season.
		
			        XULA's 
Nereo Suarez, 
Julius Hell and 
VanDer Woody
			 won in doubles and singles. Suarez and 
Jacobi Bain extended their doubles win streak to eight
			  with a 6-1 decision on court one against Mikaeel Woodman and Jakub Bojarski.
				Suarez defeated Firas Ben Chouikha 6-2, 6-1 on court two for his seventh singles victory
				 in his last eight decisions.
		
		        Hell and Woody defeated Ben Chouikha and 
		 Ernesto Sanz Martinez 7-5 to clinch the doubles point. Woody clinched on the third singles court when
		  he defeated  Bojarski 6-3, 6-4. Hell beat Woodman 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1.
 
		
		        Also winning in singles for the Gold Rush
		 were 
Jered Wilson, 6-3. 7-5 against Valentino Capararo, and 
Dedric Ray, 6-4, 0-6, 1-0 (10-8)
		  against Nicolas Fertonani.
		
			        XULA — 
			No. 10 in the NAIA coaches poll and 11th in the ITA NAIA computerized team rankings —
			won for the sixth time in its last eight matches.
			SCAD Atlanta (4-7) has lost six straight.
			
				        XULA's men and women will play their next three
				 in Florida, beginning with neutral-site Sunday matches at 1 p.m. EDT against Southeastern (Fla.)
				  at Patch Reef Park Tennis Center in Boca Raton.
