LAUREL, Miss. — Xavier University of Louisiana and Southeastern Baptist split a baseball doubleheader Tuesday. The Gold Rush won the first game 13-11, then the Chargers won 9-7.
        XULA (17-17) has won eight of its last 10 games. The Chargers (16-12) have won 11 of their last 14.
        Next for XULA will be a three-game Red River Athletic Conference series at Texas A&M-Texarkana: 6 p.m. Friday, then a noon Saturday doubleheader. The Gold Rush are in eighth place in the RRAC at 10-13, a half-game ahead of Our Lady of the Lake. The top eight teams will qualify for the RRAC Tournament May 3-7 at Sterlington, La.
