Monthly award-winners are selected by the Greater New Orleans Sports Awards Committee, sponsored by the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
Alexander — a senior from Arnaudville, La., a XULA pharmacy major and a graduate of Breaux Bridge High School — won his second consecutive NAIA national championship in the men's triple jump when he finished first indoors March 2 at Brookings, S.D.
