NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana's Lejaune George is the Red River Athletic Conference Runner of the Week in men's cross country for Sept. 2-8.
        The RRAC announced Tuesday the award, the second of George's career.
        George, a junior from Zachary, La., and a graduate of Zachary High School, ran 5,000 meters in 16 minutes, 42.6 seconds Friday to finish 31st out of 134 runners in the Mississippi College Opener at Clinton, Miss.
        Next for XULA will be the Nicholls Invitational Sept. 28 at Thibodaux, La. The men's four-mile race will begin at 8:30 a.m. The women's 5,000-meter race will start at 8.
