        NEW ORLEANS — In a matchup of top-10 NAIA men's tennis teams Saturday, seventh-ranked Our Lady of the Lake defeated eighth-ranked Xavier University of Louisiana 4-2 at XULA Tennis Center.
        The Gold Rush (7-7) won the doubles point, but the Saints (13-1) won four singles matches to defeat XULA for the first time in six meetings.
        Kyllian Savary clinched for OLLU with a 1-6, 6-3, 6-2 victory against Nereo Suarez on the first singles court. XULA's Ivan Vazquez won 6-1, 6-0 against Matis Nuziere on court four.
        In doubles, Jacobi Bain and Suarez won 7-5 on court one against Savary and Nuziere, then Vazquez and Gabriel Velez clinched the point on court two with a 7-6 (7-5) victory against David Ekpenyong and Joao Santos.
        Next for XULA's men and women will be 10 a.m. Sunday home matches against Lewis-Clark State. Start time was pushed up four hours. All XULA home matches have free admission.
