         McKENZIE, Tenn. — NAIA No. 7 Xavier University of Louisiana defeated Bethel (Tenn.) 7-0 Thursday and earned its first men's tennis road victory of the season.
         The Gold Rush (3-4) will stay on the road and play NCAA Division I Tennessee State in Nashville at 11 a.m. Friday at Hadley Park.
         Nereo Suarez, Jacobi Bain, Ivan Vazquez and Tomas Giangrasso won in doubles and singles for XULA. Bain and Vazques clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 victory against Outtara Nafiralo Souleymane and Andrej Jovanovic. Artur Yakubov gave XULA a 4-0 lead with his clinching 6-0, 6-4 victory against Leonel Caspe at No. 3 singles.
         Suarez won 6-1, 6-3 against Gabriel Perini at No. 1, Bain won 6-3, 6-2 against Nafiralo Souleymane at No. 2, Vazquez won 6-4, 6-2 against Pedro D' Avila Vecchi at No. 4, and Giangrasso defeated Mateo Prado 6-7 (5-7), 6-3, [12-10].
         Gabriel Velez produced XULA's other singles victory, 7-5, 6-4 against Lucca Nesi.
         Suarez and Velez won 6-1 against Perini and Nesi at No. 1 doubles, and Giangrasso and Maggi won 6-2 against D' Avila Vecchi and Sho Takenaka at No. 3.
         It was the first time this season that the Gold Rush won every match.
