        SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Xavier University of Louisiana men's tennis defeated city rival Dillard 4-0 Friday in the semifinals of an NAIA unaffiliated group tournament.
        The Gold Rush (13-8), ranked eighth in the NAIA, will play fifth-ranked Our Lady of the Lake at noon CDT Saturday in the championship round at Blossom Tennis Center.
        The Gold Rush seek a fourth consecutive championship in an NAIA unaffiliated group tournament.
        Nereo Suarez, Jacobi Bain and Ivan Vazquez won in doubles and singles for XULA. Vazquez and Gabriel Velez clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 victory against Siddarth Arya and Jesus Rodriguez. Bain clinched the match with a 7-6 (11-9), 6-2 victory against Yassine Benjemaa.
        The Gold Rush are 3-0 this season against Dillard, which is ranked 14th.
