The Xavier men's tennis team jumped into the national Top 5 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's most recent release.
In the ITA's March 12 rankings, the Gold Rush (8-4) checked in at No. 4, a six-slot improvement from the previous release.
Unsurprisingly, numerous XULA singles and pairs performers also earned national rankings.
Xavier No. 1 Nereo Suarez ranked No. 7 among men's singles, while Christian Sanchez ranked No. 44.
Suarez and Sanchez are also ranked No. 3 among NAIA doubles. Although they have not played together as often, Suarez and Emmanuel Jebutu have performed so well that they are ranked No. 26.
Samy Dahmany and Edilson Rosa are also on a steady climb in the doubles ranking, and now rank No. 49.
The next ITA rankings will be released on March 26.
