WACO, Texas - The RRAC recently selected Xavier's Christian Sanchez as Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the dates of March 9-15. This was the fifth set of weekly winners for the 2026 RRAC tennis season.

Sanchez won all three of his singles matches as XULA's No. 2 and went 3–0 in doubles with Nereo Suarez at No. 1. XULA, currently ranked No. 4 in the NAIA per ITA, defeated NCAA Division II opponent Drury (Mo.) 6–1 and No. 3 Cumberlands (Ky.) 4–3 but fell 4–1 to No. 2 Tennessee Wesleyan. 

Against Drury, Sanchez defeated Matthieu Gachon 7–5, 6–7(4), 7–5 and partnered with Suarez to defeat Chuy Gonzalez and Tristan Stock 7–5. Against Cumberlands, he defeated Jacopo Cianfarini 7–6(2), 3–6, 6–2 and partnered with Suarez to defeat Gabriele Solda and Darius Kuster 6–3. 

Sanchez represented XULA's only point in the Tennessee Wesleyan match, defeating Sefarin Zund 7–5, 6–4. Although XULA did not claim the doubles point, Sanchez and Suarez defeated Lucas Grana and Lucas Perez 6–2.
