Wednesday was a day of great news for the Xavier men's tennis team. Not only did the Gold Rush defeat St. Thomas in non-conference action, but they also learned that they'd improved by two spots in the latest NAIA national poll. 

Xavier, previously No. 9 in the nation, is now No. 7 per the March 25 NAIA poll. 

Georgia Gwinnett is the top-ranked men's team in the NAI with Tennessee Wesleyan, Keiser (Fla.), Southeastern (Fla.), Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), and Cumberlands (Ky.) rounding out the top six. 

The Gold Rush have played two of the teams that currently outrank them - Tennessee Wesleyan and Cumberlands - and have a match with Southeastern early next week.
