WACO, Texas (March 9, 2026) – Ninth-ranked Xavier's (La.) Nereo Suarez has been selected as RRAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the dates of March 2-8. This is the fourth set of weekly winners for the 2026 RRAC tennis season.

XULA's 4-0 victory over (11) Our Lady of the Lake (Texas), senior Nereo Suarez and freshman partner Christian Sanchez defeated senior Jaroslav Majsajdr and sophomore Bastien Prod'Homme 5-3. Suarez beat freshman Gabriel Nogueira 6-1, 6-1, in his singles match.

XULA defeated (12) Dillard (La.) 4-0. In doubles, Suarez and Sanchez crushed sophomore Siddarth Arya Sangheeth and senior Jesus Rodriguez 6-1. Suarez won a close singles match against Rodriguez 7-5, 6-1.

In the ITA, Suarez and Ivan Vazquez are ranked fifth in doubles, and Suarez is ranked fourth in singles. Suarez is a native of Argentina.

XULA is 7-4 overall. The Gold Rush is ranked No. 9 in the most recent NAIA Men's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 Poll. XULA is 10th in the ITA.
