Results     BATON ROUGE, La. — 
Charlene Goreau and 
Brandi Nelson won in singles and doubles Wednesday, and NAIA No. 13 Xavier University of Louisiana picked up another victory against NCAA Division I with a 6-1 decision against Grambling.
     The Gold Nuggets (2-3) have 32 victories against NCAA Division I opponents during 
Alan Green's 13 seasons as coach. Xavier is 3-0 against Grambling during that time.
     Goreau clinched to end the Nuggets' three-dual losing streak when she defeated Phonphathep Philavvong 6-1, 6-0 at the top singles flight. Nelson won 7-6 (7-2), 6-2 against Tafadzwa Chiridza at No. 3 and improved to 4-1 this semester in singles.
     Goreau and Nelson defeated Philavvong and Chiridza 6-1 to secure the doubles point.
     Also winning for Xavier were 
Sha'Nel Bruins, 6-2, 6-3 against Joy Jones, and 
Vashni Balleste, 6-3, 6-3 against Tanyaradzwa Magunje. The victory was Balleste's first of the semester.
     Grambling (0-5) had five players and defaulted a doubles and singles match.
     The dual was moved to the courts at Southern University after the original site, Greenwood Park in Baker, La., was unavailable.
     Next for the Gold Nuggets will be a trip to Hattiesburg, Miss., to play NAIA No. 6 William Carey at 3 p.m. March 4. Xavier's men will NCAA DI's Troy at 2 p.m. Thursday at Franco's Athletic Club in Mandeville, La.
