No. 2 Gold Rush will play host Saturday to No. 13 Mobile

NEW ORLEANS — The top-10 streak of Xavier University of Louisiana men's tennis reached 75 consecutive polls Wednesday when the NAIA announced its second coaches rankings of the season.
The Gold Rush (2-0) — a winner at home the past two Saturdays against Loyola (New Orleans) and Mississippi College — are ranked second, same as two weeks ago.
XULA began its streak of top-10 appearances May 3, 2011. The Gold Rush ranked eighth or higher in the last 47 polls; that streak began May 21, 2014.
XULA will visit NCAA Division I South Alabama (2-5) at 2 p.m. Friday, then play NAIA No. 13 Mobile (0-0) at noon Saturday — start time was pushed up one hour — at XULA Tennis Center. It will be Mobile's first match against the Gold Rush in New Orleans since 2010.
XULA's top-25 appearance is its 105th in a row, the longest active streak in NAIA men's tennis.
Five-time defending national champion Georgia Gwinnett is a unanimous No. 1 for the 47th consecutive time.
The Gold Rush active poll streaks:
     •  105 consecutive appearances in the top 25 . . . streak began April 4, 2007.
