        LIMA, Ohio —
Angela Charles-Alfred and

Angelica De Vincenzis both won 6-0, 6-0 in singles Thursday to help close out Xavier University of Louisiana's
4-0 women's tennis victory against Northwestern Ohio in the IWU Invitational.

XULA, ranked third in the NAIA, is 14-4 and has won eight straight.
 Northwestern Ohio is 6-6.

Charles-Alfred won on the third court against
Veronika Kovalchuk to give XULA a 2-0 lead, then De Vincenzis — clinching for the second consecutive time
and the fourth time in her career — blanked Anastasia Khabarova on court five.

Lailaa Bashir won 6-0, 6-4 on court two against Ana Cetina.
XULA won all three doubles matches, and
Charles-Alfred and Bashir clinched that point with their 6-2 victory against Cetina and Camila Puente.

Because of wet courts at the tournament venues in Marion, Ind.,
XULA and UNOH moved to the Racers' indoor home facility, Westwood Tennis & Fitness Center.
For XULA, that resulted in a round-trip drive of approximately 200 miles after flying Wednesday to Indiana.

"The Nuggets played well and got off to a good start,"
 said
Alan Green, XULA's head coach/director of tennis. "Playing indoors is a different game,
a different type of ball coming back across the net. But we handled it well today."

XULA will play NAIA No. 11 Union (Ky.) at 1 p.m. EDT Friday
at Marion High School. The weather forecast: partly cloudy, high of 73 degrees.
