BATON ROUGE, La. —
Jeffery Frazier triple-jumped 47 feet, 1 inch Saturday at the LSU Invitational track and field meet to become the second man from Xavier University of Louisiana to qualify for NAIA nationals in this event this season.
Frazier finished fourth in the competition. His imperial mark converted to 14.35 meters.
Frazier will join teammate
Seth Alexander in the competition at NAIA nationals. A week ago Alexander and Frazier finished 1-2 in the event at the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Championships.
Frazier was one of three from XULA to earn top-five finishes at LSU.
Edward Angel (fourth place, 2.03 meters/6 feet, 8 inches) and
Damien Trahan (fifth place, 1.98 meters/6 feet, 6 inches) did it in the men's high jump.
There was no team scoring in the meet, which primarily featured NCAA Division I athletes.
