NEW ORLEANS — It was more of the same Monday for Xavier University of Louisiana women's volleyball standouts Linda Mungai and Kennedy Wade.
        Mungai earned Red River Athletic Conference Defender of the Week for the sixth time this season, and Wade was chosen RRAC Attacker of the Week for the fifth time.
        Mungai, a third-year libero from Busto Arsizio, Italy, produced 44 digs and three aces in three matches during the Gold Nuggets' Texas trip. She had 24 digs Saturday in a four-set victory against Paul Quinn. It was the sixth time this season that Mungai reached 20 digs.
        Wade, a junior outside hitter from Gainesville, Fla., and a graduate of Buchholz High School, had 35 kills, five aces and 21 digs. She led XULA in kills in all three matches.
        XULA will close its regular season Friday in a 4 p.m. RRAC doubleheader against Louisiana Christian at the Convocation Center. Then XULA will play host to the RRAC Tournament Nov. 11-12. The Gold Nuggets are 17-8 overall and 12-2 in the RRAC.
