A quartet of Gold Nugget volleyball players have been named to the 2025 American Volleyball Coaches Association All-South Central Region team.
The AVCA announced today that sophomore middle blocker Kennedy Campbell, senior setter Charity Metcalf, and junior middle blocker Taylor Parker had all been named first team all-region, while sophomore outside hitter Kamea Uitenham had earned honorable mention.
Campbell, a native of Atlanta and graduate of the Lovett School, led Xavier with 271 kills, which was fourth most in the Red River Athletics Conference, and posted the fifth-highest blocks-per-set total in the RRAC with a 0.76 average.
Metcalf, a product of Greenville, South Carolina, and J.L. Mann High School, was an elite setter, posting 549 assists, which was almost 200 more than the next highest contributor on the team.
Parker, a native of Charlotte and graduate of Hickory Grove Christian School, had 175 kills and a team-best 109 blocks. Parker also led the Red River Athletic Conference in hit percentage (.356) and blocks per set (1.30).
Uitenham, a native of Hutto, Texas, and graduate of Hendrickson High School, had a team-high 337 points, including 270 kills. She also accounted for 239 digs and 50 service aces. Her kill total was fifth best in the Red River Athletic Conference.
