Xavier University of Louisiana, ranked 15th in NAIA women's tennis,
extended its season-best win streak to four Saturday with a 7-0 home victory against Texas Wesleyan.
The Gold Nuggets won all nine matches;
Juliette Finch,
Tianna Dixon and
Lindsey Dixon (no relation) won three-set singles matches.
Finch clinched the dual by defeating Aurora Novati 0-6, 6-2, 6-3 on the first court.
Lindsey Dixon and
Bailey Whitley clinched the doubles point on court three by
defeating Caitlin Souvannavong and Cecilia Salazar 6-4.
XULA is 8-8, and Texas Wesleyan —
which received votes in the March 2 NAIA coaches poll — is 4-2.
