PENSACOLA, Fla. — Valaine Clarke won in doubles and singles for Xavier University of Louisiana in a 6-1 women's tennis loss Saturday to West Florida.
        Clarke and Tianna Dixon defeated Mayumi Saguchi and Sara Yigin at No. 2 doubles, then Clarke beat Nathalia Mossambani 6-4, 3-6, 1-0 (10-7) at No. 4 singles.
        The Argonauts, 6-5 and ranked 24th in NCAA Division II, snapped the season-best five-match win streak of the Gold Nuggets, 9-9 and ranked 14th in the NAIA.
        Next for the Gold Nuggets will be a 4 p.m. Red River Athletic Conference home match April 1 against LSU-Shreveport.
