       NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana women's tennis, ranked 11th in the NAIA, rolled into the championship round of the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament with a 4-0 victory Friday against LSU-Shreveport.
       The Gold Nuggets, 13-13 and seeded second in the tournament, will play LSU-Alexandria for the championship and an automatic bid to NAIA nationals at noon Saturday at XULA. Admission is free. LSUA — 16-0, ranked fourth, seeded first and a two-time winner against XULA during the regular season — defeated Texas A&M-Texarkana 4-0 in the other semifinal..
    XULA won five courts by a combined game score of 48-2.Â
Kareemah Muhammad and
Valaine Clarke clinched the doubles point with a 6-0 victory against Angelo Basto and Nathalia Gomez on court one.Â
Juliette Finch clinched the dual at No. 2 singles with her 6-1, 6-0 victory against Kateryna Kochetkova.

Ariana Stephens earned XULA's other doubles victory, and
Bailey Whitley and Clarke won in singles.
     XULA and LSUA had first-round byes Thursday. In that round LSUS defeated Our Lady of the Lake 6-1, and Texas A&M-Texarkana beat Southwest (N.M.) 6-1.
