LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — Xavier University of Louisiana
lost 4-0 Saturday to Georgia Gwinnett in a matchup of ranked NAIA women's tennis teams at the Grizzly Invitational.
The Grizzlies (7-1), ranked second and winner of the last six NAIA national
championships, ended the five-match win streak of the Gold Nuggets (5-3), who are ranked fifth.
Georgia Gwinnett clinched on the fifth singles court when Angel Carney defeated
Valentina Largacha 6-2, 6-4.

led Tereza Koplova, No. 3 in the ITA NAIA singles rankings, 6-2, 2-3 when Carney clinched.
The Gold Nuggets' final match of this event
will start at 10 a.m. EST Sunday against NAIA No. 11 Lindsey Wilson.
