NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana announced Thursday that its men's and women's tennis matches at William Carey will not be played Friday because of expected rain.
        The matches were moved to 1 p.m. Saturday at WCU Tennis Complex in Hattiesburg, Miss.
        XULA head coach Alan Green said the Friday forecast — a 100-percent chance of rain during the morning — caused the move.
        All four teams are ranked in the top 15 of the NAIA coaches poll. The XULA men (4-5) are ranked 13th, and the women (7-2) are fifth. The William Carey men (0-1) are ranked eighth, and the women (4-0) are ninth.
