        PENSACOLA, Fla. —
  Aline Midori Da Sliva won 3-6, 7-5, 6-2 against 
Amira Bergaoui at No. 2 singles to clinch 
	the Argonauts' 4-3 victory against 
	Xavier University of Louisiana in a matchup of ranked women's tennis teams Saturday.
	
		        
	 The Argonauts, 7-3 and ranked 12th in NCAA Division II, 
	  ended the four-match win streak of the  Gold Nuggets (9-3), who are fifth in the NAIA  coaches
	 poll and second in the new ITA/NAIA computer rankings.
	 
	         Midori Da Silva gave Bergaoui her first defeat
	  in nine singles decisions as a collegian. Bergaoui, a freshman, enrolled at XULA in January.
	 
        XULA's 
Kyra Akinnibi won in doubles and singles. 
 Akinnibi and 
Kareemah Muhammad won 6-3 at No. 3 doubles against
 Midori Da Silva and Guadalupe Martinez, and Akinnibi defeated Martinez 6-7 (5-7), 6-1, 6-3 at No. 3 singles.
 
         Also winning for the Gold Nuggets were 
McKenna Wheatley,
  6-3, 2-6, 6-2 at No. 4 against Luiza Daud, and 
Valentina Largacha, 7-5, 6-4 at No. 5 against Jenna Svatos. 
	 Wheatley is 7-0 this semester in singles, and Largacha improved her singles win streak to four.
 
 		  
			        XULA's women and men will play
			 at home the next two days: 1 p.m. Sunday against SCAD Atlanta and
			 2 p.m. Monday against SCAD Savannah. The Gold Nuggets and Gold Rush will return to Florida next weekend
			  for three matches apiece in the Miami area.
