        NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana's Najah Nicholas was announced Wednesday as a 2024 Daktronics NAIA Softball Scholar-Athlete.
        Honorees have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 and completed at least one year at the nominating institution. This is the second time that Nicholas received this award.
        Nicholas is from Kenner, La., and a graduate of Kenner Discovery High School. She received her bachelor's degree from XULA May 11 as a biology/pre-medical major.
