NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana announced Thursday more postponements of athletic events in the aftermath of a Tuesday winter storm and the icy, slick conditions it created.
        The postponed events are:
        •  Men's and women's track and field, Friday in the New Orleans Classic 2 at Joe Brown Park.
        •  Men's and women's tennis, Saturday at Jackson State.
        •  Men's and women's basketball, Saturday at LSU-Alexandria.
        No makeup dates have been determined for any of these events.
        The storm dumped approximately 10 inches of snow on the city and prompted XULA officials to keep the campus closed through Friday, Jan 24. During the closure, classes are being conducted online, and all other university activities are suspended.
        XULA announced earlier that its home basketball doubleheader against LSU-Shreveport was pushed back to Tuesday, Jan. 28 because of the storm.
