LAKE CHARLES, La. —
Xavier University of Louisiana's
Jordan Blair and
Jaheene Bell won races
Friday in the McNeese Indoor II Invite & Multi track and field meet.
It was XULA's third
meet of the 2025 indoor season.
Blair won the women's 200-meter dash
in a season-best 26.34 seconds. She was faster than 23 runners, six from NCAA Division I schools,
in eight heats. XULA is a longtime NAIA member.
Bell won the 400 for the second consecutive meet.
He lowered his season-best time to 49.47, and he beat 16 runners.
XULA produced 10 other top-5 finishes, including
second place by
Fedjine Bell,
Jaelyn Mitchell,
Nevaeh Lacey and
Vanessa Oladapo in the women's 1,600 relay
and by
Leojai Hibbert in the women's triple jump.
Next for XULA will be a trip to Birmingham, Ala.,
for the Bulldog Open Feb. 15. It will be XULA's final meet before NAIA indoor nationals Feb. 27-March 1 at Gainesville, Fla.
