2025 qualifying standards for NAIA outdoor nationals

        LAFAYETTE, La. — Xavier University of Louisiana produced qualifying marks for NAIA outdoor nationals in four events Saturday at the Louisiana Classics track and field meet.
        XULA's qualifiers were:
        • Nevaeh Lacey, Breanna Clarke, Jordan Blair and Jaelyn Mitchell in the women's 400-meter relay — an A-qualifying mark of 46.15 seconds and No. 2 on the Gold Nuggets' all-time list.
        • Mitchell with an A-mark of 11.71 in the 100-meter dash.
        • Mitchell with a B-mark of 24.38 in the 200.
        • Jaheene Bell with a B-mark of 47.60 in the men's 400.
        Mitchell and Lacey were part of the Gold Nuggets' record-setting relay in 2024 — 45.96 in a sixth-place finish at NAIA nationals.
        Next for XULA will be the Southern Miss Invitational Friday and Saturday at Hattiesburg, Miss. XULA will play host to the Red River Athletic Conference Championships April 25-26 at Tad Gormley Stadium in New Orleans, and NAIA nationals will be May 21-23 at Marion, Ind.
