        NEW ORLEANS — Five players won in doubles and singles Sunday to lead NAIA No. 8 Xavier University of Louisiana in a 6-1 women's tennis victory against Lewis-Clark State.
        It was the fourth consecutive day that the Gold Nuggets (9-8) played at home. They won three of those matches. Overall XULA won seven of its last nine matches.

Mbali Langa clinched with her 6-3, 7-6 (7-2) victory against Paige Noble-Lucas at No. 2 singles. Langa and
Asadah Ma'at clinched the doubles point on the second court with their 6-3 victory against Noble-Lucas and Heidi Moyo.
        Also winning in singles for XULA were
Amira Bergaoui, 7-5, 6-2 against Moyo at No. 1;
Hana Moss, 6-0, 6-1 against Naiara Montero at No. 3; Ma'at, 6-4, 6-4 against Gwyn Heim at No. 4; and
Ana Vasilis, 6-3, 6-3 against Luciana Marzani at No. 6.
        XULA won all three doubles matches. Bergaoui and Vasilis won 6-3 against April Buckingham and Beatriz Lambru at No. 1, and Moss and
Sanai LeSure won 6-2 against Montero and Ana Govea at No. 3.
        The Gold Nuggets won 53 of their last 62 matches at XULA Tennis Center dating to March 2018.
        Lewis-Clark State is 6-12.
       XULA's women and men will travel to Alexandria, La., for the LSUA Tournament, which will begin Thursday.
