Xavier University of Louisiana baseball outfielder
Cohen Boyd earned two Red River
Athletic Conference end-of-season awards Wednesday: second-team All-RRAC and
the Champions of Character team.
Boyd, a junior from Breaux Bridge, La.,
and a graduate of Teurlings Catholic High School, led the Gold Rush
in 2025 with a .328 batting average, three home runs, 34 RBIs, four triples,
45 hits, 14 extra-base hits and 69 total bases. He ranked second with 33 runs, 22 walks and 18 stolen bases.
At Southwest (N.M.) April 19,
Boyd set XULA second-era game records with two triples, four extra-base hits and 12 total bases,
and he tied the XULA mark of seven RBIs.
