        BATON ROUGE, La. — Xavier University of Louisiana's Jaheene Bell, Breanna Clarke and Jade Harris produced qualifying times for NAIA nationals Saturday at Southern University's Pelican Relays.
        Bell met the A-qualifying time in the men's 400-meter hurdles. He won the event — 12 competed — in 52.17 seconds. Clarke in the women's 100 reached the A-time for the second straight week. She placed fifth out of 43 athletes in 11.68. Harris produced a B-time of 14.26 in the women's 100 hurdles and placed fifth out of 20.
        Next for XULA will be the Strawberry Relays Friday at Hammond, La. XULA will play host to the Red River Athletic Conference Championships April 25-26 at Tad Gormley Stadium.
