MARION, Ind. —
Xavier University of Louisiana sophomore
Ovane Williams earned All-America
in the men's high jump Thursday at the 2025 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships
at Indiana Wesleyan University.
Williams cleared the opening height
of 1.96 meters/6 feet, 5 1/4 inches and tied for eighth place with Clarke's Daniel Adams
and Shawnee State's Eli Adkins. XULA freshman
Kameron Loyd also cleared that
height but tied for 11th because of one miss more than Williams, Adams and Adkins.
Weston Means of Carroll (Mont.) won with 2.10 meters/6 feet, 10 3/4 inches.
XULA's
Dayton Jamierson and
Damien Trahan
were among 12 jumpers who did not clear a height.
The top eight individuals or relay teams in each
event receive All-America awards.
