NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana
produced seven qualifying marks Saturday for NAIA nationals, including
Jaelyn Mitchell's school
record in the women's 200-meter dash, in the New Orleans Triangular
track and field meet at Tad Gormley Stadium.
Mitchell's time of 23.71 seconds met the NAIA's A-standard and ranks
fifth on the 2025 NAIA outdoor list. Mitchell broke
Kynnedy Turner's XULA record of 23.99 from 2024.
Mansur Ali produced a B-mark of 51.50 meters/168 feet, 11 inches
in the men's discus, and he broke the school record he set March 21 (48.01 meters/157 feet, 6 inches).
