        NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana's 2025 women's volleyball schedule includes 28 regular-season matches, six against teams that qualified for 2024 NAIA nationals, and another host role for the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament.
        It will be XULA's 18th season, and the Gold Nuggets will play their first eight matches in New Orleans. XULA will open at 11 a.m. Aug. 22 against Science and Arts in the Wolf Pack Welcome at city rival Loyola. The Gold Nuggets' first home match will start at 6 p.m. Aug. 28 in the Convocation Center against city rival SUNO in the eighth Big Easy Blastoff. Joining XULA and SUNO in the five-team, three-day, 10-match event are Blue Mountain Christian, Cumberland and Doane.
        The Gold Nuggets' matchups against 2024 NAIA nationals teams will be Sept. 10 (home) and 22 (away) against city rival Dillard, Sept. 27 at Mobile, Oct. 7 at William Carey and Oct. 24 and 25 at Our Lady of the Lake.
        Science and Arts will be the first of five first-time XULA opponents.
        The first two of 10 Red River Athletic Conference matches will be Oct. 3-4 at Texas College. XULA will play host Oct. 17-18 to defending RRAC regular-season champion Texas A&M-Texarkana and — for the third time in four years — play host to the RRAC Tournament Nov. 13-14.
        Students, faculty and staff with a valid XULA ID are admitted free to home matches.
        Pat Kendrick, a three-time Louisiana Coach of the Year, returns for her ninth season to lead the Gold Nuggets. Kendrick is 169-62 (.732) during her XULA tenure.
        In 2024 XULA was 17-15 overall and 13-3 (third place) in its fourth RRAC season.
