COLLEGE PARK, Ga. — Xavier University of Louisiana got top-four singles finishes Sunday from Nereo Suarez, Emmanuel Jebutu and Ana Sabikova at the HBCU National Tennis Championships.
        Suarez, seeded fourth in the men's A-flight, lost 6-3, 6-4 to Tennessee State's Taj Hibbert in the final.
        Jebutu, seeded fifth in the men's C-flight, lost 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 to Alabama State's unseeded Loris Gueli in the final.
        Sabikova, seeded seventh in the women's A-flight, lost 6-2, 6-2 to Howard's third-seeded Franchesca Brown in the third-place match.
        Next for XULA's men and women will be the NAIA Gulf ITA Regional Championships at Thibodaux, La. The three-day event will begin Friday at Thibodaux Regional Sports Complex (294 Bowie Road, zip 70301).
