Plummer's Gold Medal Moment turns 20

XULA Men's and Women's Track and Cross Country coach Yhann Plummer had a big moment Thursday.

While coaching his athletes at the NAIA Outdoor Championships, Plummer quietly celebrated the 20th anniversary of his own NAIA national championship exploits.

In 2006, while a student at SUNO, Plummer claimed a national championship in the 100-meter dash.

The race that year took place at Fresno Pacific University in California, and Plummer's win might have been the most exciting moment of the meet.

He edged Lindenwood's Michael Rodger by one-one-hundredth of a second, 10.20 to 10.21, to claim the gold.

Xavier Athletics celebrates Coach Plummer's gold-medal anniversary.
