Plummer listed among top Black coaches in NAIA Track

Xavier Track and Field Coach Yhan Plummer picked up a major honor this weekend when he was named one of the top 10 men's coaches in the NAIA by the Black Coaches Association.

Joining Plummer in the top 10 were Jeff Hughes of Voorhees (S.C.), Joey Scott of St. Thomas (Fla.), Kenny Anderson of Central Methodist, Dominic Demeritte of Life (Ga.), Anthony Thompson of Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), Stacy Latnie of Madonna (Mich.), Ryan McKenzie ot William Carey, Nick Dodson of Southeastern (Fla.), and Nile Legania Sr of Dillard.

"These coaches are building culture, developing young men, navigating adversity, and proving that representation at the highest level matters," an announcement on BCA's Instagram reads. "Their impact goes beyond the scoreboard. It is about mentorship, opportunity, and legacy."

In 2026, Plummer coached both the XULA men and women to outdoor conference championships and had All-Americans in 5 events, 4 outdoor and 1 indoor.
