        NEW ORLEANS — It will be an all-Xavier University of Louisiana matchup in the men's singles A-bracket final of the NAIA Gulf Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional Championships. Third-seeded Mathieu Strauss and fourth-seeded Jacobi Bain will meet for the title no sooner than 11 a.m. CDT Sunday at XULA Tennis Center (3619 Pine St., zip 70125). Admission and parking are free.
        In the semifinals Saturday, Strauss defeated Johan Favelin of Our Lady of the Lake 6-2, 6-1, and Bain won 6-2, 6-2 against eighth-seeded Justin Van Amerongen of Blue Mountain.
        Bain and Nereo Suarez, top-seeded in doubles, will play fourth-seeded Van Amerongen and Rick Sakamoto in the semifinals at 10 a.m. Bain and Suarez won 8-3 in the quarterfinals against Remus Hebhang-Balan and Hippolyte Barbier de Preville of city rival Loyola (N.O.)
        Guillermo Coiras of the Gold Rush won the singles B-bracket with a 6-1, 6-1 victory in the final against Loyola's Spencer Matz.
