Murray wins her second RRAC weekly award

        NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana's Sydney Murray is the Red River Athletic Conference Attacker of the Week in women's volleyball for Aug. 19-25.
        The RRAC announced Monday the award, Murray's first this season and the second of her XULA career.
        Murray, a 5-foot-10 outside hitter and a junior from Indianapolis, hit .205 with 57 kills, seven aces, five blocks and 30 digs in four matches at the Onset Invitational in Fort Wayne, Ind. Murray hit .444 with 14 kills in a season-opening victory at Saint Francis (Ind.), and she closed the tournament with 18 kills against Columbia International.
        Next for XULA (1-3) is the seventh Big Easy Blastoff at its Convocation Center. The Gold Nuggets' schedule:
        •  7:30 p.m. Thursday against NAIA No. 7 Columbia (Mo.)
        •  7:30 p.m. Friday against Marian (Ind.)
        •  2:30 p.m. Saturday against MidAmerica Nazarene
        •  7:30 p.m. Saturday against Campbellsville
