NEW ORLEANS — Defending men's champion Xavier University of Louisiana trails Our Lady of the Lake by four points after Friday's competition in the Red River Athletic Conference Track and Field Championships at Tad Gormley Stadium.

Jaheene Bell won the 400-meter dash. Freshman
Mansur Ali led the XULA men in scoring with 14 points — second place in the discus and third in the javelin.
The second and final day of the meet will be Saturday — field events at 10 a.m., track events at noon. Venue address is 5400 Stadium Drive, zip 70124, and admission is free.
